New WinRT™ 4.1 Features
WinRT 4.1 offers new features including:
- PCMCIA card Plug and Play support for all buses (except USB).
- WDM Plug and Play Drivers for Microsoft® Windows® 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000 and XP.
- A wizard that generates basic WinRT code to get up and running faster.
- An updated WinRT Console with enhanced user interface and a new debug trace view for easier trace debugging.
- Improved debug trace performance with a simplified trace debug user interface.
- User-defined device names for Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows 98, and Windows Me.
- Data contention handling for timers
- WinRT UNICODE macro functions and samples modified to work with UNICODE.
- PCIView 2.0, a new version of PCIView with an enhanced user interface and new capabilities including saving, printing, and displayed PCI device hierarchy.
