LEADTOOLS Document Image Annotation SDK
LEADTOOLS document imaging SDKs offer .NET, Silverlight, WPF, C and C++ developers a variety of document image annotation options that can be added to applications that utilize bitonal, grayscale and color images. LEADTOOLS image annotations can be used to add color and multimedia image markups to black and white images.

Storage of Annotations
LEADTOOLS document image annotations can be stored as an external annotation file, private DICOM data elements, or LEAD or Wang annotation tags within a TIFF file. Alternatively, document image annotations can become a permanent part of the image data.
LEADTOOLS annotations may also be exported as native PDF annotations in PDF documents with the LEADTOOLS Document Writers.
Ease of Use and Control
With LEADTOOLS, document image annotations can be implemented through a fully automated class or completely customized with direct calls to low level functions. The fully automated classes include ready to use floating, customizable toolbar and pop-up menus. Text strings used in automated document image annotation classes can be modified, translated and localized to match the end-user’s locale or to meet the specific needs of the application.
Confidence and Security
Enhanced redaction objects hide and encrypt confidential parts of document images even in non-LEADTOOLS viewers. When combined with annotation security, these redact objects provide a means of granting user-level access to view redacted areas of an image.
