TWAIN High-level
Functions
LEADTOOLS provides TWAIN high-level functions. These functions negotiate the most frequently used capabilities and eliminate the need to know the TWAIN specification to get or set TWAIN capabilities.
The LEADTOOLS high-level TWAIN functions negotiate the following capabilities for you:
- ICAP_XFERMECH: Transfer Mechanism (Native/Memory Buffered/File)
- ICAP_IMAGEFILEFORMAT: Image File Format (BMP, JPEG, TIFF, etc)
- ICAP_COMPRESSION: Image compression (Group4, JPEG, LZW, etc)
- ICAP_XRESOLUTION: Image's X Resolution or Dots Per Inch
- ICAP_YRESOLUTION: Image's Y Resolution or Dots Per Inch
- ICAP_FRAMES: Dimensions at which to scan the image
- ICAP_UNITS: Unit of measure for all quantities
- ICAP_BITDEPTH: Image's Bitdepth
- ICAP_BRIGHTNESS: Image's Brightness
- ICAP_CONTRAST: Image's Contrast
- ICAP_HIGHLIGHT: Image's Hightlight
- ICAP_ORIENTATION: Image's Orientation
- ICAP_SUPPORTEDSIZES: Predefined dimensions at which to scan the image
- DG_IMAGE / DAT_RGBRESPONSE / MSG_RESET:
- DG_IMAGE / DAT_RGBRESPONSE / MSG_SET
- CAP_INDICATORS: Turns the status bar on and off
- CAP_DUPLEXENABLED: Enables/Disables Duplex scanning
- CAP_DUPLEX: Tells what Duplex is supported by the scanner
- CAP_XFERCOUNT: Tells the scanner how many pages to scan
