Just to summarize, version 12 is offering developers more than 2000
functions, properties, and methods to integrate color and grayscale,
document, medical, multimedia and vector imaging into their applications.
Among the new features which were added to version 12 are the addition of
advanced Document Clean-up to the
Document Imaging toolkits, addition of JBIG support to the Document Imaging
Suite Toolkit, an enhanced Vector Engine
with greatly expanded functionality and flexibility, an
update of DICOM support and several performance optimizations in the
Medical Imaging toolkits, the addition of
Magnifying Glass and Magic Wand
features to Raster Imaging, memory optimizations that make all LEADTOOLS
functions faster, and the addition of LEAD
Video Codecs to the LEADTOOLS line of products. New File Format
support and enhancements v12 offers include:
faster JPEG compression/decompression, faster loading of TIFF files,
support for TIFF files containing JBIG-compressed, CMP-compressed, and DXF
images and support for DWG and SGI formats. |

| Enhanced
Printing Support - New functions
have been added to allow the user to eject a page and start a new one while
printing. Now, it's even easier to let LEADTOOLS handle all the printing.
TWAIN Support Detection - Now you can easily detect if a user has a TWAIN device available. There is no longer the need to do twain acquire for the detection. Enhanced Client to Bitmap conversion - New methods and properties to allow user to convert from Client to Bitmap coordinates and vice versa. Allows user to easily process coordinates with respect to the bitmap. Additional Options for Selecting Regions - Select a Region based on a Color Range. Support for DIB V4 and V5 - LEADTOOLS can now convert to/from V4 and V5 DIBs. New Convert JPEG DIB - LEADTOOLS can now convert from JPEG compressed DIBs. New Replace Color Threshold Features - Enhanced functions for changing bitmap hue, saturation, etc. New Support for TWAIN File Transfer Mode - Allows user to scan directly to a file. Enhanced Thumbnail Support - We have exported the function that the Thumbnail Browser uses to generate the thumbnails for each enumerated file. Now, the user can call directly for a single image file. Unselected Item Event - Function to allow user to know when an item is unselected. Previously, the user only knew when an item was selected. Enhanced View Perspective - Function allows the user to determine if the image has to be manipulated in some way after loading. ISIS(R) Page Event Always has a Filename - Now, the user can rely on us to generate a filename for him even if we are not saving the data to the file. New Databinding Method - Now, the Image data is stored first, followed by the annotation information. This allows other applications to read the image data from the database field. Enhanced ImageList Control - The ImageList control's contents can now be saved as a multipage TIFF file with each item's text being saved in each page's TIFF tag. Now you can represent a list of images as a multiplage tiff. New Deskew Feature - User has control over the selection of the background color for deskew rather than having it automatically chosen by the deskew function. New Magnify Glass Features - Allow you to update the bitmap from another source, during the MagGlass Procedure. Additionally, you can customize the MagGlass shape now. 12/16 bit Histogram Support - Has been added in addition to 8 bit support, which was previously offered. New Multimedia Method - New high-level method for getting a single frame from a video New Annotation Support in VCL New PDF File Support in VCL Low Level Access to the Bitmap Data in the VCL Enhanced DICOM IOD Table - LEADTOOLS DICOM now has Structured Reporting IOD support Vector to Raster Load Options - High-level properties that allow control over Rasterize of vector image files. Faster Load of Vector Files New High-level SaveOffset method - Now, the user can save an image at an offset within an existing file. Useful for creating your own format or saving into a "database".
