Specific Additions/Enhancements:
Capture:
- New capture modes to specify to pause the preview when you pause the capture or specify if the preview should be started before you start the capture.
- New Target Formats: OGG, DVSD OGG, MPEG1 System, MPEG2 Program, DVD*(VOB*, IFO*), VBS and Network**.
- A new capture target is exposed; Sink object** acts as a file writer in the graph.
- Control interleaving mode when writing AVI files.
- Camera control (Brightness, Contrast, Zoom, Pan, etc)
- Edit mode: change capture configuration without rebuilding the graph – speeding up graph modifications.
- Save still bitmaps while specifying format, quality and point in graph to capture.
- Save capture settings to files and streams; settings include: processors, compressors, devices, and controls.
- Support for built-in audio sources in video devices.
- Incoming video signal adjustment: Brightness, Contrast, Gamma, Hue, etc.

DirectShow Filters Changes:
- LEAD Deinterlace Filter: deinterlace video with a pattern, deinterlace only a region of interest (rectangle), and specify segments in the video to deinterlace and how to deinterlace the segment (no deinterlace, interlace, deinterlace with pattern).
- LEAD Ogg Splitter: Play and convert OGG files.
- LEAD OGG Mulitplexer: Create OGG files using the LEAD Capture or Convert modules.
- LEAD Audio Detection Filter - Useful for applications such as security (starts capture when there is noise and stops capture when there is silence).
- LEAD Video Overlay Filter - Superimpose a logo over a video or play a video inside a video (PiP).
- LEAD Video EFX Predator Filter- Create video effects similar to the Predator movies.
- LEAD Video EFX Rain Filter - Simulates the video as a water puddle with rain drops rippling the surface.
- LEAD Video EFX Streak Filter - Simulates very fast movement.
- LEAD Video EFX Wave Filter -The video is the surface of a body of water and moving objects will generate concentric waves as if something touched the surface of the water.
- LEAD MPEG-1 Multiplexer - Create MPEG-1 files.
