For Customers with Active InstallShield MultiPlatform Maintenance Plans:
Effective immediately, InstallShield MultiPlatform (ISMP) customers with active maintenance plans are entitled to receive the current version of InstallAnywhere (IA) at no additional cost through the current maintenance fulfillment process.
- InstallShield MultiPlatform Professional Edition maintenance plan holders are entitled to receive InstallAnywhere Standard Edition.
- InstallShield MultiPlatform Premier Edition maintenance plan holders are entitled to receive InstallAnywhere Enterprise Edition.
InstallShield MultiPlatform customers electing to receive InstallAnywhere as part of their maintenance plan will have their InstallShield MultiPlatform licenses marked as "upgraded," and will no longer be able to get support or upgrades for InstallShield MultiPlatform. In effect, these customers will be "turning in" their InstallShield MultiPlatform licenses when they upgrade and will now be InstallAnywhere customers.
The end-date of their current maintenance plan will remain the same, but will now cover InstallAnywhere instead. Upon the expiration of their existing maintenance agreement, users who renew will do so at InstallAnywhere maintenance-plan prices.
Customers with an active InstallShield MultiPlatform maintenance plan wishing to receive this upgrade are advised to contact PDS.
An InstallShield MultiPlatform customer without an active maintenance plan who wishes to upgrade to InstallAnywhere may do so by purchasing an upgrade.
