Service Layer Integration
The new services layer APIs (previously available only in
InstallShield MultiPlatform) allow you to customize your installation
beyond the standard actions and panels as well as add advanced
functionality to your custom code actions.
These API provide increased flexibility to your installation.
For instance, you can use the service layer to manipulate files, query
the system registry, and determine if the end-user has administrative
privileges.
