InstallShield supports the latest Direct X 9.0c platform, letting you take advantage of current Microsoft technology. You can now use the Windows Installer-based object for Basic MSI and InstallScript MSI projects in compressed and silent installations. In addition, you can run your installation in deferred system context so that it can be run with elevated privileges on Windows Vista & 7.
Two Direct X 9.0c objects are available in the InstallShield Premier and
Professional Editions: One for Basic MSI and InstallScript MSI and one for
InstallScript. InstallShield Express Edition only has the object for Basic
MSI.
