Media spanning functionality enables you to build an installation that spans more than one CD, DVD, or other media, so you never have to impose limits on the size of your application.
For example, if the installation's payload is too large to fit onto one CD or DVD, the installation is automatically built onto multiple pieces of that media. The quantity of media required is automatically determined by Universal. In addition, the payload is written to the media in the order that it is sequenced in the interface or, in the case of Dynamic Suites, the order in which the assembly directory structures are sequenced in the suite output's assemblies directory.
