LinKit! - Context-sensitivity the easy way!
- LinKit! is an easy to use tool which allows you to connect electronic user documentation to virtually any Windows application.
- With LinKit! you create links between application windows and company-specific user documentation, such as work instructions or procedural information.
- The end-users can access the linked documentation by clicking an icon or pressing a short-cut key or key combination.
LinKit! is a combination of:
- LinKit! Manager — The module used to create and maintain the links.
- LinKit! Activator — A small runtime engine that displays the appropriate linked documentation.
LinKit! Manager
With LinKit! Manager you create links between (sub)windows and/or dialog boxes of one or more applications and company-specific user
documentation.
The procedure to follow is:
- Create a LinKit! project
- Collect windows
- Add one or more help files
- Create links
- Publish the project
- Distribute
LinKit! Activator
LinKit! Activator is a small program that runs on end-user PC’s and displays relevant documentation on
demand.
Linked documentation can be called by either clicking an icon or pressing a selectable short-cut key or key combination.
